Reesa Bhowmik

Chair

Reesa Bhowmik is a member of the Walsh School of Foreign Service Class of 2026. She is majoring in International Economics, with minors in Justice & Peace Studies and Linguistics.

Reesa’s journey in the International Relations Club started as a member of the International Advocacy and Service Sub-Board during her freshman year. Since then, she has traveled with the Georgetown Model UN team, served on the secretariat for NCSC LI, and chaired at NCSC, NAIMUN, and DistrictMUN.

Outside the IRC, she is also on the board of Delta Phi Epsilon, Georgetown’s Professional Foreign Service Sorority, and participates in Rangila, a philanthropic South Asian dance show. In her free time, she enjoys long walks, painting, and finding DC’s best Indian food.

She was born in Mumbai, India, and grew up in Singapore.

Michelle Giovinazzo

Conferences Coordinator

Michelle is a junior in Georgetown’s College of Arts in Sciences majoring in Computer Science, Ethics and Society.

Outside of IRC, she is involved in GUMUN.

Julia Wang

Chief of Staff

Julia Wang is a member of Georgetown’s class of 2027 majoring in International Politics with a concentration in International Law and a minor in Performing Arts. Julia is from Beijing, China.

Julia currently serves as director of the Chief of Staff Sub-Board. Before this position, she was still part of the Chief of Staff Sub-Board! Outside of IRC, Julia does research at Asian Studies Department of SFS, interns at RFK Human Rights for Litigation and Advocacy, performs as a Mezzo Soprano in the Georgetown Chamber Singers, and is part of Georgetown Vibe

In her free time, Julia loves watching an abundance of k-dramas!

Bridget Galibois

Director of Academic Programming

Bridget Galibois is a member of the class of 2028 in the School of Foreign Service, studying International Politics with a minor in Spanish.

She is from Chicago, IL. Last year, she served as Deputy Director of the Academic Programming Sub-Board. She has also staffed Georgetown’s Model UN conferences for college, high school, and middle school delegates. At NCSC LII, she staffed Democracy, Take Two: Council of the Baltic Sea States, 1992 as a Crisis Analyst, and at NAIMUN LXII she staffed the Ad-Hoc Committee of the Secretary General as a Crisis Director.

She currently serves as the NAIMUN LXIII Director of Marketing and Media. Additionally, she staffed NCSC LIII as the Chair for Guns and Ships: The Cabinet of Amfo Otu and Kwesi Edu, 1871. She has also competed with Georgetown’s Model UN team.

Outside of the IRC, Bridget writes about Georgetown student life and DC happenings for The Hoya and serves as a consultant for DC nonprofits at a student-run consulting group.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, picnicking with friends on Healy Lawn when the weather permits, and exploring DC.

Robert Chong

Director of Outreach

Robert Chong is a member of the class of 2028 in the School of Foreign Service, majoring in Science, Technology, and International Affairs. He is originally from Shanghai, China.

Prior to his position, Robert served on the Chief of Staff sub-board and was a Crisis Analyst for NAIMUN last year.

Outside of the IRC, Robert is involved in Georgetown Global Consulting, and the Georgetown Journal of International Affairs. You can catch him on the tennis courts and watching Formula One racing in his free time!

Leon Zhang

Director of Communications

Leon Zhang is a member of Georgetown’s class of 2028 in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in Political Economy. He was born in California and grew up in Baltimore, Maryland.

Before his role, Leon was a Crisis Analyst for NCSC and NAIMUN last year as part of the USS Nimitz and (Cyber)secure the Bag committees.

Outside of the IRC, Leon is involved in the Georgetown Bipartisan Coaltion and the Georgetown Buddhist Students Association. You can find him meditating and doing his daily BeReal whenever he is free.

Mary Abi-Karam

Director of Special Events

Mary Abi-Karam is in Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service Class of 2027.

Max currently serves as the director of Special Events. She is a junior transfer and this is her first time getting involved in IRC!

Outside of the IRC, Mary is the founder of Women in Law.

Elizabeth Koenck

Director of International Advocacy and Service

Elizabeth Koenck is in the Georgetown School of Foreign Service, Class of 2027. She is majoring in International Politics with a certificate in Economics and Diplomatic Studies. She is from Aurora, CO.

Last year, Elizabeth was part of C-Staff GUMUN, a chair for District MUN, GIRA Ethiopia, and was Director General of NAIMUN China! This year, she’s happy to be chairing the Joint-Crisis Committee for the Ottoman Empire.

Outside of the IRC, she loves going on hikes, baking, and reading anything and everything!

Isabella was born in New Jersey and now calls Germany home. She is Brazilian, Italian, and American.

Owen Huang

Treasurer

Owen Huang is a member of the Walsh School of Foreign Service Class of 2028. He is majoring in International Political Economy.

He is from Los Angeles, California.

Last year, Owen served on the Chief of Staff Sub-Board and was a Crisis Analyst for NAIMUN LXII. This year, he will be serving as the Director for the Shanghai Municipal Council Committee.

Outside the IRC, Owen is involved in Georgetown Global Consulting, Georgetown Journal of International Affairs, and Georgetown Bubble. In his free time, he enjoys surfing on the beaches like a true LA native, exploring the wonderful city of DC, and watching a variety of sports.

Yu Fan Mei

Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Yu Fan Mei is a junior in Georgetown's College of Arts and Sciences majoring in Mathematics with a minor in Public Health.

Yu Fan serves as the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Before his position, he competed on Georgetown’s Model UN team and was a Grand Crisis Manager in NAIMUN LXII. This year, Yu Fan will be doing the same role for the Second Punic War committee.

Outside of IRC, Yu Fan is involved in No Pressures Creatives, and GUBEACON Health Education. You can catch him going on runs, and composing his very own music

Yu Fan is originally from Quincy, Massachusetts.
